The “Booksie: International Amateur Weekly Writing Challenge” or formerly known as Booksie Weekly Writing Contest 2012 (as of September 9 to September 23, 2012) is known for its challenging but fun way of inspiring amateur writers to write about new ideas according to the prompt given to every competitors that had took part the competition.
Administered by PrinceEdward, its main purpose is not just to acknowledge amateur writers as one of the best in the field of writing but to especially, challenge them in writing new things they didn’t ought to think of. This contest took place in a span of one week in every four week of a month. It usually started at Monday and the results were up in exactly a week later.

*Specifying your age will count on judging in terms of your maturity level*

*Specifying your gender will help the administrator in choosing a suitable prompt according to what your sexual preference is*

*Specifying your country will determine on which environmental language you are in*

Writing: Short Story or Poetry (Specify the type of writing you desire to write)
*You may not choose both but only one of the options*
Genre: Fiction, Fan Fiction, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Humor, Tragedy, Thriller/Mystery/Suspense, Romance, Children Stories, True Story (Specify the type of genre you desire for your prompt)
*You may combine two different genresbut specify an official single genre for your writing*

You will be given two chances to submit your registration form
if ever you lack or inaccurately submit your information or dislike the prompt that was given;
Otherwise, you will not be able to join the competition until the following week.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS AS A GUIDE IN WORKING ON WITH YOUR ENTRY

Criteria on Judging:

Content Relevance = 25%
*Determines how your story is related to the prompt that was given*
Creativity = 20%
*Determines how you play the idea of your prompt. Producing a unique and new idea out of the prompt given*
Word Harmony = 20%
*Determines how you play with your words. Judges your good vocabulary and on how you simply words into thoughts*
Social Feedback = 20%
*Reads, Comments and Likes in your writing (preferably published in Booksie) are counted in judging the entries. Reads is equivalent to 1 point, Comments to 2 points and Likes to 3 points. Over all, the highest counts will get perfect score while the lowest gets 10*
Punctuality = 10%
*Early to pass within the first day of contest will be rated perfect while the last will be rated lowest. Late to pass their entries will be deducted 10 points*
Age Gap = 5%
*Youngest will be rated perfect while the oldest will be rated 1*

Contest Duration

The contest will officially run in exactly one week, from every Saturday to the next Friday.
Prompts are given as soon as a registration form is sent. It may either seen in another page or an article.
The end of submission of entries will be on every Friday, before the competition ends.
Any late submission will be reconsidered but will be deducted 10 points for punctuality unless one had chosen the Whole Package Prompt

EVERYONE WHO SUBMITS A REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY FANNED BY PRINCEEDWARD.
BUT ANYONE WHO WILL VIOLATE THE TERMS AND CONDITION WILL BE BAND FROM ENTERING THIS CONTEST UNLESS A VALID REASON IS PRESENTED.

Just to Make Things Clear

The start of receiving prompts will be on Saturday at exactly when the contest starts.
The administrator will give you each unique kind of prompt according to your genre or prompt type chosen.
The contest doesn't accept ready-made writings for the catch of this contest will be disregarded if someone will do so.
Each contestants will be given same duration of time to finish their works. Once an entry isn't passed on time, please expect that your work will be deducted some points.
Anyone who will be discovered to fake their age will be disqualified or banned from entering the competition.
