dirt earth water
they cycle outward
replenish

We wall ourselves in
others out
to protect from the dirt
from the outside

from the dirty

in truth
we trap our bodily filth
into our space

and we’re dirtier than the earth
ever could have been without our help.

Nice poem. It reminds me of something that I can't put my finger on right now. Darn it! Great job.

Thank you. The idea came from staying in a somewhat gross hotel last weekend in Arkansas. It's a very woodsy place and I kept thinking the outside seemed so much cleaner than the inside.
