Describing a Moment

Novel By: Amity Willows
Other

This isn't really a novel. It's a string of writing exercises where I take an image and describe it using the best words I can. I know, it sounds boring. But I'm sure that if you take a few moments to look at the images and my description you (hopefully) won't be disappointed. View table of contents...

Author's note: The images used are either copyright free or safe for use on non-commercial projects. If these images are in fact copyrighted or unavailble for use then please let me know and I'll remove it at once. Thank you.

Also I have not figured out how to put the images in the text, so I'm afraid I had to link to them instead. Oh well.

The water runs along the riverbed, winding like a snake. It slices through the forest and darts between trees, majestic oaks and grand maples. It reaches the end of a cliff and falls down the rock, roaring like a maddened animal. The spray of water lies heavily on the air and a fine mist coats the tree tops. The water gathers at the bottom of the fall. It then continues on it’s way, wilder then ever, roaring and gurgling. A myriad of color hangs in the mist at the bottom of the fall, a wild array of blue and green, red and orange.
