I started laughing my head off when I heard the story about my great uncle. My normal current uncle makes the stories he tells about our family funny.

But after each story Lulu asks “Is it true?” and Uncle Greg always says yes. Sometimes I even answer but Lulu says “How do you know Daniel? Huh?”

But I always say “c’mon, tell her Uncle Greg. Tell her it’s true.

“Yes Daniel my boy, you are correct.” but sometimes I’m not sure if some of them are true. But since we live in Boston It’s hard for other people in town to tell if the stories are true. But my Uncle lies. And he does it an awful lot too. Whether its momma daddy or some of Uncle Greg’s friends I don’t know, believe me, I can tell when he’s lying.

I tell all the stories Uncle Greg tells us to my friends at Washington’s academy for boys ages 5 to 14. Whether it’s Jason or Jessup or Joel or Clyde. The all believe me. And at lunch every day Clyde tells me the stories his uncle tells him. But I can tell his Uncle lies too because his uncle and my uncle are best buds, and believe me when I say best buds. Lulu tells all her friends at Lincoln’s academy for girls ages 5 to 14 of Boston the stories that uncle tells us. And her friends believe her too because they can’t figure it out in their tiny little brains whether it’s true or not.

Whether she tells Jollie or Eleanor or Agnes or Izzy all those 7 year old girls believe her. But there seven so they should believe her. My mom says growing up with Uncle Greg was hard because him being the older one she hated. What she especially hated was him playing pranks. Livin’ in Boston gets boring because since we live in the 40’s its pretty much do the same thing every day. Get up and get ready for school, get the horse hooked up, ride the carriage to school, come home after school, have dinner, get on pg’s then hop in bed at 9:00. It gets boring once your use to the schedule. Lulu doesn’t mind. But to me it’s boring. She likes our busy schedule. Momma says it’s good for my heath. But I want to be free on weekends, not busy, free. And every night Mamma makes us read our history books every night because she says not readi’n would make us not healthy. I’m always late for school because Mamma and Papa always give us a good talk about what her expectations are for us for school. Uncle Greg talks about the same thing at supper, his stories.
