Day 29

I would like to start of by saying last night I cooked dinner.  That is not really anything special but just where this entire thing begins.   We had filet which was great.  Wrapped in bacon and then I put some things that just flowed with the thought process on it.  I decided to saute with no accente gous or is it grave which one.  I look dumb now french words lacking accents.   Oh well.  Yes my french spelling is worse then my english.  I do the saute then I bake it so the filet does not end up being over cooked or burnt.  Once the steak is in the oven I was debating as to whether or not I wanted to make a wine sauce with mushrooms.  I decided not to.  I took an interesting approach that I had not tried yet.  Instead of deglazing the pan with the wine I had an inspiration to do it with orange juice.  I then added some balsamic vinegar.  With this I zested a lime and a lemon.  I put in half  of the lemon juice.  I added salt pepper and a small bit of curry since I had seasoned the steak with curry already.  I had cut two kiwi into pieces and put some brown sugar in as well.  I stirred it up and let it reduce and thicken a little bit.  This sauce was much better on steak then expected today we are trying it on chicken as a marinade.   I was curiously asking myself hmm if this sauce is really this good then I can go to local super markets and ask them to sell it.  Obviously I would need to name it and come up with a label and a packge in which to sell it.  This doesn't have much to do with anything but I figured I may share a buisness venture that came across my mind.  Again sorry did not type this in my word program.  Take Care B Leaf

Boy, now I am hungry. I bet it tasted great. I might just have to try that. I love filet. Good luck marketing it. Ted

It did taste pretty good. I looked into packaging and labeling last night. It would be 97 cents for each bottle 8 oz if ordered in sets of 363 now that is with labels caps shrink seals the works. I would also have some left overs of various different items. I also put olive oil and butter in the sauce pan. I put in some bay leaves and basil and cooked those before putting the steak in the oil. Once that was done I took the bay leaves out and left the basil then cooked the steak. I hope you like it I feel it was a fairly tasty concoction. Thanks again I love to here your comments it makes it seem like someone is reading. That keeps me going. Thanks Brian
