I Was Leaving Classes Today When Rolphi Ran To My Side. We Walked In Silence. There Wasn't Anything Wrong,We Just Didn't Talk. Until The Silence Started To Kill Me. "Wanna Go Get Some Food From Cool Beans?" I asked him as we Walked Out The School Gate. He Looked At Me,Smiled and Took My Bag. We talked about anything that popped on our minds. I don't remember what he said to make me laugh so much, but In seconds we couldn't stop laughing. We were close to Cool Beans,an Ice cream Shop, when A guy named Devon stepped out his house. Devon was 18, and treated me like his little sister. We Have our close moments, and he lives in EB So we see each other a lot. EB Stands For East Bush, and I Lived on The Other Side of EB. Rolphi lives Close To My House,Up The Hill. "I See Yall!" Devon Shouted To Us,And We Took Off Running and Laughing. We Had Ordered Our Ice Cream Already,So After We Collected Them From Miss James We Took Off. We Went Under A Shady Tree And Chilled Out. While We Were Talking,Rolphi's Phone Vibrated. It Was His Mom. After Chatting With Her For A Few Minutes,He Hung Up. "What's Up?" I Asked Him. "She Wants Me To Go With Her To Mar's House". "OMG Can I Come???" I Asked Already Jumping Off My Feet. Mar Was An Old Lady Living Down The Street. I Didn't Care That She Was 94,I Loved Her. She Treated Me Like One Of Her Great-Grand Children. And I Treated Her Like My Great-GrandMother. Rolphi And I Took The ShortCut Up The Hill To Mar's House. As We Got There We Saw Mar. She Was Sitting Outside On Her Porch In Her Rocky Chair,Speaking To Her GrandDaughter-In-Law, Rolphi's Mom,Ramona. "Hey Mar" Rolphi Said Approaching Her. Mar Was 94,But Her Mind Was Still Quick. Rolphi Hugged Her And Kissed He On Her Cheek,And I Leaned Against The Wall Quietly. Mar Looked At Me And Smiled. "Hi Naykey" She Said. She Was The ONLY Person I Let Call Me That. "Hi Mar". "What? Are You Waiting For Me To Ask For A Hug?" She Asked Me,Ready To Stand. I Walked Over To Her A Gave Her A Hug. Then I Sat Next To Rolphi On A Bench. "So You To Dating Now?"Mar Said Grinning At Us. "No Mar. What Is It With You And This Strange Obsession Of Nay And Me Dating?"Rolphi Asked Her. "Well,I need Something To Look Forward To,"She Stated and Then Continued, "Ask Your Mothers,I Had This Planned Since You Two Were 2 years,And Still Looking Into It". We Looked At Rolphi's Mom And She Nodded. "Umm,Rolphi,How About We Go Wash Up These Dishes?"We Needed A Quick Escape Out Of Here. I Started Picking Up Dishes And He Followed My Lead. We Collected The Lunch Plates From The Table And Walked Inside The House And Into The Kitchen. " That Was...Weird" He Said,Leaning Against The Counter When We Were Done. I Said Nothing. I Turned Away From Him,I Couldn't Talk About What Happened Out There Just Now, I Was In Love With Him. Just Then,I Could Feel Him Behind Me. He Pressed Me Up Against The Counter,"What Do You Look For In A Guy?"He Whispered In My Ear. "Personality. He Has To Be Able To Make Me Smile In The Toughest Times, And Surprise Me. He Has To Smell Good Too. Cologne, I Love It. I'm Also A Freak Over Dimples.", OMG,I Just Told Rolphi What I Look For In A Guy. Everything He Does And Has IS In That List. Wait,My Best Friend Just Asked Me What I Look For In A Guy. "What Do You Look For In a Girl?". "The Heart,She Has To Be Able To Accept Me For What I Am. She Has To Be In The Good Books With My Family. Her Smile Is An Instant Looker. She Should Be Able To Come For Me For Help Whenever She Needs It. Hip Lips Must Draw Me To Her." He Said. I Turned To Face Him,And We Stared At Each Other. I Leaned My Head Top His,And Just As Our Lips Were About To Touch,The Motto Remix Started Playing. Rolphi Flipped Out His Phone And Answered It While I Tried To Gain Self Control.
