We fell asleep about midnight, which was surprising considering the amount of caffeine I'd consumed.
I woke up after an unnerving dream about Zeke.
"Morning Claud," I murmured, as a noticed her stirring too.
"Morning Indi."
I heard the faint tones of my phone. I groped around in the blankets.
"Who's calling at 8 in the morning?" Claudia complained.
I picked my phone up, it was an unknown number.
"Hello?" I asked.
"INDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" squealed the voice on the other end.
"ITS AIMEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"OH MY GOD!! You got a mobile!"
"Ok, Aimee, you're going to burst my eardrums at this rate."
"Sorry Indi. But anyway, I'm just calling to let you know I'm coming up today."
"Um, ok," I managed to stutter.
"Good." And then she hung up.
Claudia was in the kitchen, shaking a 'pancake shake' bottle. She reached into the pantry, and grabbed the box of choc chips.
"Ah, choc chip pancakes. You know me too well my friend!"
Claud laughed, and began pouring the mixture into the pan.
We feasted on lots of pancakes before there was a knock at the door.
"Argh!" I groaned. "COMING!"
I made my way over to the door, swinging it wide.
"Aimee, its only been a few days."
Non the less she flung her arms around me, before beginning to punch me.
"Ow Aimee. What's that for."
Claudia's shy voice came in from behind.
"Sit down guys."
We sat back at the table.
"My brother is miserable now thanks to you!"
"No." Aimee interrupted. "I know what he did! But, but, he's so upset. He really likes you Indi."
I sighed.
"You know I know that, right? And you know that I like him too. But, I just need… time."
"Fine." Aimee replied, trying to look cross, but bursting out laughing instead.
It only took a matter of minutes for Aimee and Claudia to become best friends, and before long we were chatting away happily.
"Anyway, we better get changed," I noted, before heading up to Claud's room.
I quickly dressed in a deep blue polka-dotted singlet top and a pair of dark purple shorts.
When I came down Claudia was already wearing a light green sundress.
The three of us were cleaning up the kitchen when we were startled by a rather loud knock on the door.
"OPEN UP!" boomed a loud, slightly drunken voice.
I looked at Claudia, she was mirroring my terror.
"CLAUDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he bellowed.
Aimee looked at me in confusion.
I only had to whisper one word.

We stared at the door, horrified.

A/N: just wanted to say I'm sorry for the slow update, and i don't think this chapter was quite up to scratch. But, in saying that, the next couple of chapters should be good. =D
