Chapter 1, School.
File, file, file. I pushed the file through the slot in the wood that (you might be able to guess) I was filing, with a file. I was in the woodworks room, finishing a clock stand. I started to file harder, really wanting to finish the practical part of this lesson. The woody smell was burning through my nose. CCRRAACCK. I shuddered, dropping my file and covering my ears, a chill running though m back.
"What happened?" My best friend, May, asked shocked.
"My wood split" She must think I'm completely crazy, she knows my ears are over sensitive, and understands about my strange quirks. But I can't lose my best friend, my only friend.
"Go glue it" she chuckled, Phew, she found it funny. I went to grab the glue and brush. As I was coming back a tripped, throwing the glue over myself as my face planted itself into the floor. The Whole class, of almost 20 people, gasped, not knowing what happened and then ran over, seeing it was me they burst out laughing. I stood up to leave the room, feeling the fire in my hands and feet. I had to control it, not let it get to my heart, that would be a disaster. It took a few seconds to calm the anger inside me.
I heard a call from in the room.
"Robbie decked it, I never knew boys could be so clumsy". It was Caitlin. I hated her. The fire was relaxed, but the anger still there, I ran into the room straight at her, before she realised what I was doing I had jumped straight on her, Knocking to the ground. "My name is Robin, Robin! Got That! AND IM A GIRL!" I was going to let her get up, when she mumbled, for everyone to hear.
"I don't believe, if you are how come you don't act like it, jumping on me, not wearing makeup, and having that horrible short boy ha-ARGH" It was at that point I punched her right up her stupid pointed nose, retreating my fist I saw it was layered with blood, and looking at her nose it was easily broken, moved almost a centre meter out of place. Good. I went in for the next punch, but I didn't because I could feel the fire again, and the teacher was pulling me back, easily I could have resisted, but that would have made it look even more like a boy.
I mean, I don't look like a boy, my chest is, well, reasonably large, I don't have any particularly male facial features, I do have some muscles, but that's what you get from running a lot and my brown hair is cut unevenly short, but it has to be, otherwise my fur becomes unbearably long. Oh and I'm a werewolf, the only female werewolf ever to walk this Earth.
My technology teacher gave me a lecture on safety and all that crap ending on "I know you have problems, but I'm going to have to punish you, the head master, will decide your main punishment, but I'm giving you an after school for tomorrow"
"Can't do it" I replied
"When can you"
"Umm a week on next Tuesday"
"Can I see the slips?"
"Okay, I've got… clubs on Wednesdays and Fridays"
"That's fine, can I see the slips"
I pulled out five slips from the inside of my blazer, handing them to Sir.
"Fine, I will right out a detention for a week on Tuesday"
Sir wrote it out and gave it to me telling me to sit outside. No chance. I stood up and went to walk out, using the fire exit near the tech room. I heard a "Sir, Robbie-in is leaving."
"Okay, I will call emergency cover, Thanks Dean"
No chance. As I got further away from the school, out of sight to those blind humans a prepared myself, running, pulling of my clothes of, I couldn't afford to wreck another lot of school uniform, leaping, letting the fire that had been bubbling take over, I changed into my wolf form.
