~~Prologue:
One night, in a dark ally. I started walking, fearful of what could lurk in the darkness around me. A voice suddenly fills the air in the alley. I turn around, trying to find the source of the melodious, charming voice. Suddenly, a man steps out from the cover of the night. He looks very young for his age, everything looked normal about him. His brown, shortly cut hair, his pale skin, and his god-shaped face. Everything was normal about him, except his blood red eyes. I stepped back away from him, he gave me a grin and I barely whispered saying

"He-Hello sir. Can I help you?"

"Yes, you can." His voice was the same voice I had heard.

"How can I help you, Sir?" I said trying to control the fear in my voice.

"Maybe you can help me find something to eat."

"Oh, there's a diner just down street. Just walk straight and turn left."

"I meant another way." He licked his bright red lips and I shivered. Something was odd about him.

"How, then?"

"Maybe I can have a taste?"

"A taste of what?"

"Your blood."

That's when I started to run. My fear had taken control of my body and started to run the opposite way of the blood drinking man. Is he crazy? Suddenly he was in front of me, like he had super speed. He held out his hand, and I ran right into it. I heard a sickening crunch as I was thrown back into the alley wall. I tried to move my body, but it was frozen. My arms lay limp at my side, and my legs like crumbled pieces of paper on the ground. I was shaking as the man can to my side. I whimpered and said

"What's wrong with you? Why do you like blood?"

"Because that's what I eat. That's what I am!"

I swallowed the fear crawling up my throat, as the man kneeled next to me. I whimpered as he pick up a piece of black hair, that was covering my neck, and pushed it too the side. My whole body was shaking as he open his mouth, revealing two rows, of perfectly white teeth. Two teeth on the top, came to a point and realized they were fangs. As a last attempt to save myself, I screamed the loudest I could. Suddenly, an ice cold covered my numb mouth, and I felt burst of burning pain in my neck. The man had bitten me. I screamed as loud as I could, as the agony started to spread through my veins. I felt the pain numb everything around me, and I screamed louder. I knew it was no use, with his hand covering my mouth. I felt weakness replace the pain as I heard the sound of sucking. I knew that it couldn't last any longer; I knew that I was done for.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of footsteps in the alley. My vision was fading as I saw a familiar face. One that I thought was dead. I heard the sound of grunts and screams of pain, besides my own. Instead of weakness, the pain flowed through me again. I started screaming louder, and I realized that the icy hand was no longer over my mouth. I looked up from my position leaning against the wall and spotted him. With his shiny blonde hair, and similar features, this boy had to be my said dead best friend. Maybe I'm in heaven. The boy ran over to me, worry obviously shown on his face,

He said
"Don't worry, Lilly, you're going to be ok. You're going to be ok." He grabbed my pale hand and I whimpered to him

"James, please it hurts."

"Let the pain take over you, Close your eyes, it will be better, I promise."

I followed the said ghost of James, and closed my eyes. The last thing I heard was the sound of his melodious voice, coaxing me into the depths of the shadows.
