Lexi's POV
Opening my eyes, I see the light peeking through the window, and Dustin still lying beside me with his eyes closed. Crawling out of bed carefully, I make some coffee, and limp my way to the patio.
We're surrounded by forest. One little lonely cabin.
I go inside and grab a notebook and pen, and begin to write;
He's Drunk Again...
It's time to fight.
I must have done,
Something wrong tonight...
He slams the bottle
On the table with a slam.
I'm sitting in my closet
being as quiet asI can...
Maybe if i'm a good girl
He won't beat me black and blue
then walk away
after saying 'I Love You'
A fathers Love
Is in denile
If not
why would he beat his child?
Can't go to school
The proofs to much
Bruises on my eyes
Packed with a punch
Blood on my lips
Running from my nose
Couldn't wash away my disgust
Even with a hose
And You Call Yourself a Father
FUCKER is what i'd say
Iscream for you to leave
but you just won't go away!
Can't tell my mommy
she's too drunk to care
Wearing to much makeup
Always dying her hair
I'm just an object
Amistake from the womb
Maybe they will forget me
When im six feet under my tomb
He's Drunk again
It's time to fight
I must have done
somthing wrong tonight
The living room turns
Into a boxing ring
He beats me down
AndI run and scream
He's angry now
What have i done?
Nothing at all
He just wants his fun
Itrip and fall
He kicks my side
Ihope from this
He gains more pride
And You Call Yourself a Father?
Dustin peeks his head ut the door, and smiles.
"You okay?" I nod and lookt at him. He hands me two extra strength tylenol and then sits beside me.
"Can I read?" Hesitantly, I hand him the books. I watch him read, periodically nodding through the process of reading it. He looks up at me, eyes wide.
"This is really good, doll." He hands me back the notebook back, and I feel myself blush.
"Thank you."
Jason POV
"I have no idea where else to look, Manda." She shakes her head and sighs. I glance at her and notice a tear trickling down her face. I pull her into a hug, and comfort her as the tears fall
"Jason, I'm scared, what if something happend to her? What if she's hurt, and we can't find her?"
"Manda, stop, we both know her. Don't you think if she was in trouble, she'd find a way to tell us, right?" She nods and we get up.
"She probably doesn't want to be found right now." Manda nods, and we head back to the school.
When we get into the school, we walk to the lockers. A blonde girl waves her hands in front of Joey, screaming at him.
"Where the FUCK is she, Joey!? I seen you hit her, what happend to that poor girl! I call the police on your ass, you monster! They went there, but you weren't there. What the FUCK, did you do!?" Joey shakes his head and shrugs.
"I have no idea who, or what, you are talking about?" She slaps him, hard.
"That poor girl you were cheating on with me, you scumbag. The nerdy one." That's it. I know she's talking about Lex, and I know he's not talking about before I went to the hospital. I stride over, and fling my bist back, sending Joey flying into the lockers. I turn to the girl, and she shakily looks at me.
"You said nerdy girl. Did she have long hair, tallish, and crystal blue eyes?" The girl nods, and I grab Joey, pinning him up against the lockey. His eyes turn into slits.
"Where the fuck is she?" He shrugs.
"No idea man." My fist connects again, and a phone goes skidding across the floor. Manda gasps and comes running to me.
"This is Lex's phone, Jason." I throw Joey across the floor again, and then walk out with Manda to the truck, and hold her, as she cries once again.
