White. That was the first thing I thought when I opened my eyes. It was everywhere. Blinding me. There was nothing that could be distinguished really as an actual thing. It was all just… white. I walked into nothing, not knowing where I was or where I was going. I was certain that there was no place in hell that was as white as this. Wandering I noticed that there was no smell. How could there be no smell? I stopped and sniffed the air.
I heard a low chuckle from behind me and turned around quickly. I stopped sniffing the air and looked quizzically at the boy in front of me. He was a boy of about 17 and had that innocent look about him that no other 17 year old boy I knew had. He looked at me with a genuine smile on his angelic face. Slowly, I backed away getting a little scared by his grin that keeps on getting wider. He walked to me slowly, matching step for step.
Suddenly, without any warning his face twisted into something dark and sinister. Gasping I watched in horror as he transformed into something demented as he stalked towards me. The boy now had black raven wings protruding from his back. They were the size of him if not the tinniest bit bigger. The white room turned into complete darkness. The only light coming from the sick colouring of his black wings. I kept my eyes on the wings knowing they were the only way I could figure out where he was. I saw the wings swoop down and let out a shrill scream as I felt the feathers swoosh past me.
He was teasing me, taunting me. For what, I didn't know. Backing up I looked around noticed there was no one in sight. Calming down slightly I stood there and thought over my situation. Where was i? well that was pretty clear, I was in someplace black. But was it an actual place? Just as I was thinking this over I was ambushed again by the black winged thing. I let out a deafening scream and ran as fast as I could. Where to? I had no idea. Just as far away from that thing as I could get.
Suddenly out of nowhere there was a white door in the midst of all the white. Running even faster as I felt the unnatural breeze right behind me I reached out desperately for the door, hopefully getting away free. But as usual good things never happened to me. Before my hand touched the only thing white in this space the boy landed in front of me. I froze and slowly backed away. Looking anywhere but where he was. There was nothing. No white place. No escape. I was trapped.
Without warning the thing leapt at me. The only indication that he had done so was a rippling in the ugly blackness of his wings. Letting out another scream I raised my arms in protection, seeing that there was no escape. Waiting for the pain or whatever he would do to me I squinted my eyes shut and waited for it.
I felt the claws before I felt the pain. The thing, for it did not resemble a boy in anyway any more, had morphed into a bird like creature. Its claws dug into my arm, making deep scratches. I let out a whimper as the horrible beast cawed. The sound was horrible, worse than nails on a chalk board. The sound was so horrible that it put shivers down my back. The thing had flown me pretty high. the only way to measure distance was how small the white door was. I got further and further away from freedom as the white dot got smaller and smaller until it disappeared.
Looking back up I saw that there was now a dark glow around the beast. I could now make out more features of it. The wings were made up of long black feathers, a few sticking up as if ruffled by a non-existing wind. The beak curving into a needle-like point, poised to kill. As if it felt my gaze the animal looked down at me. Gazing into my eyes with its own beady black ones. My heart pounded frantically as I struggled to get out of its grip. Right now the fall would be better than being in this beasts clutches.
Wincing against the pain of its claws in my arms I beat at its claw-like feet, twisting and turning to get out of its hold. I had loosened its grip on me and with a final tug I was sent falling into the darkness. I let out a scream as I fell. Half from the pain in my arms, and half from the rush of the fall. Falling down I counted as the seconds went by. At 50 seconds I opened one eye and looked around. I was no longer falling, instead I was on the back of the best again. 'oh no' I thought. Why would this thing save her? Maybe to torcher her?
The bird-like thing swooped down and before she knew it her whole world had turned black, again.
No! Not again! That was my first though as I woke up drenched in sweat. This was the second dream I have had since I was here. This place was messing up with my mind and my dreams. I decided to just forget it. Maybe it would go away. There was a very low chance that it would happen but a girl could dream. I had hope at least. Yawning I stretched out and looked out my window. The red sky had turned dark as dusk descended.
Sitting up removed the covers that were on top of me and looked around the room. Same old same old I thought until I saw the huge dog laying at the foot of the bed. Letting out a startled gasp I backed up a bit until I remembered that my dog, Hercules had followed me in here last night. I looked down at him affectionately as he growled in his sleep. I had already formed a bond with him. My dog. I smiled at the thought. Yawning I stretched my arms and got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom next to my room that I had found earlier.
Grabbing a towel out of the little cupboard under the porcelain sink I turned to the huge shower, stripping as I walked closer to the glass doors and turned the water on as hot as I could take it. Standing under the running water I rubbed my neck and just relaxed. Calming my muscles down and letting out a lot of tension in them. I really needed some type of massage with all this stress I had. Grabbing the soap I lathered my body with it and washed my hair with some shampoo and conditioner I had found in the cupboard. Once I had all soap and any muck off me I sat in the shower and leaned my head back against the wall as the water relaxed my body.
When my fingers and feet had become wrinkly from being in the water for too long I turned the water of and hoped out. Cursing myself for not bringing clothes in a dried myself and wrapped my body in the fluffy towel. Opening the door a crack I glanced out and saw that the coast was clear. Rushing to my room which was thankfully right next to the door I froze when I felt a warm breath on my neck.
Closing my eyes thought 'damn, just my luck. Who is it now?' turning around I peered up and opened my eyes. To my surprise it was William. He had this weird look on his face that I couldn’t recognise. It looked like he was battling with his inner monster. But why? I wasn’t oblivious to boys and all. But why would he have that look on his face because of me? He was some king of hell. He would have seen many a pretty girls in less clothing then me.
He placed both of his hands above my head inclosing me in a type of cage. Leaning in he looked like he was trying to make some huge decision. Before I knew it he had crashed his lips down on mine. My eyes widened in shock, my mind was in a mess but my body was on fire. Before I knew what I was doing I responded to his kiss with as much passion. He groaned as he moved his lips against mine furiously. My lips feeling like they were going to bruise while my stomach was erupting in butterflies.
I was actually kissing William! My hands moved to his chest and wrapped around his back pulling him closer to me. He removed his hands from the wall and put them on my waist, gripping it tightly. I broke away from him, gasping for air. He rested his forehead against mine and we were both standing there breathing heavily. I looked into his black eyes and saw desire and lust in them. We just stood there staring at each other and getting out breath back.
Before I knew it though William had nearly ran to the other side of the hall. Shocked I looked at him confused. We just had a hot make out session and his on the other side of the hall. A look of comprehension and shock was on his face as he looked at me with horror and regret. Oh no had I done something wrong? Did he not mean it? Was I that bad a kisser? He just stared at me and muttered out loud.
"no, no I didn’t just do that. What do I do? No!" his voice got louder as he went on and I had to fight back tears at his words.
This was the first time I had seen William lose his cool so badly. He had changed his attitude with the kiss but he was still dominant and in control and sure of himself. A traitorous tear ran down my face and William was in my face again. he raised both of his hands and held my face as if it was made out of glass. He pressed his lips lightly against my forehead and shook his head.
More tears ran down my face as he kept pressing light kisses to my face, never going near my lips. My voice quivered as I tried to get out the words I wanted.
"d-did you not l-l-like it? Was it som-something I-I did?" I questioned between my silly sobs. He murmured reassuring words that he did indeed love it.
"No my darling. It is not you, it is that what I just did was practically illegal" I gasped in shock as I remembered what Lucifer had said in the meeting room. He must have forbidden anyone to be with me because he wanted to 'woo' me.
What was I to do? If I stayed with William we would both most likely be in huge trouble. But that kiss had awoken feelings in me that I could not just let go of. So I looked up to him and asked
"what do we do now?" he sighed at that and just closed his eyes and put his forhead against mine. I looked at his closed lids as he stood there. Finally he spoke,
"well it is up to you Melissa. If you would like to risk it we could be careful and be together or if it is too much of a risk for you, which I would completely understand, we could nip this in the bud and stop it all now. We would have to never mention this again, for our lives sake" I nodded at this and said the words that brought some happiness to his face
"I would love to be with you, you have awoken these feelings in me and I don’t think I would be able to stand it if we were apart" his face broke into a huge grinned and he laughed out loud and picked me up and spun me around a squealed and tightened the towel around me. He put me down and put a quick peck on my lips.
"we will have to be careful and I mean extra careful or our lives will be in danger but for you, Melissa, I will do it" I smiled at that and hugged to him.
He kissed the top of my head and murmured.
"now go get dressed before I maul you and we will start some more training with the swords and with Hercules" I nodded and turned around and opened the door. Turning around once to look at him. I had never seen him like this. Where was the quiet, reserved William. I still liked this happy, bubbly one. But if Lucifer noticed a change it could be futile. I smiled at him and closed the door on him. I walked to the closet and put on some baggy pants and a big tee so that I would be comfortable for training. I put on some shoes and walked out the door.
A huge smile on my face I looked out into that hallway and saw that it was empty so I walked to the courtyard that we were training in before. I skipped the whole way there but stopped in my tracks at the sight before me. Lucifer and William were in a vicious fight before me. Oh no had he figured out?
