Jonny stared at her for a long moment. And then finally managed to stumble out the words. "Are you for real?" The girl smiled beautifully and laughed. "No. Dont be dumb. I'm Roshell." "Oh......" "I did save you though." "Oh, um thanks." Jonny said staring at the carpet. It was old and a little stained. "Why? Do you need one?" Jonny chuckled alittle before answering. "Yeah. I guess I do." Roshell leapt up all of a sudden, scaring Jonny half out of his wits. "Okay. I accept!" Roshell said smiling and putting out her hand. Jonny took it warilly and the two shook on it. "UM....I dont really...." Just then the kettle rang and Roshell was up and in the kitchen. "I'll be back." Confused and a little nausios, Jonny lay back on the sofa. When Roshell returned she was struggling to balance two cups of coaco and a packet of tofee pops. "Do you-" Jonny said and motioned to stand but Roshell shook her head." Nuh-uh. You're the guest." The two sat for a while and just ate. Afer allmost half the pack of biscuits was gone, JOnny began with-"So where am I?" Roshell answered with out looking up from her milo. "Down town. South side. My apartment. Well, my grandmothers actually, but she's at the hospital right now." "Oh. I'm sorry." "Dont be. Being a nurse is hard but she loves her work." "Oh." Silence. "Thank you for saving me. " "hey. Dont sweat it. You'd have probably done the same for me." Yah right, Jonny thought miserably. Maybe the old Jonny would have helped you, but the new Jonny? Not a chance in hell. "What's your name any way? And how you come you hang round a couple of no goods like Tombs and them?" "Jonny. And-" And he told her. Not just how he had come to hang out with the old gang but every thing else too. How his mom and dad were getting a divorce. How he only had three weeks to live. And the operation. He told her about that too.
