When we got home I quickly ran upstairs to my room to avoid the questions that Lisa was about to ask me, for some reason whenever I go to my room she thinks that I’m somewhere else… I wonder if my parents dropped her or something, and even when she looks for me she always avoids my room. I plugged my mp3 player up to the speakers and turned it to Thy Art Is Murder, and I sat on my bed wondering what was going to happen next. I honestly didn’t feel like doing my homework but then I remembered that there was a ton of stuff I was supposed to do. Ugh, why can’t I just be one of the dumb people and just not do my work, I’m find with the punishment. I’m not going to be missed by anyone important. Well… maybe one person will miss me. I thought to myself, but I just decided to do my work. Even though I thought that, I’m afraid of death, I’m afraid of how painful it will be or how it feels.
I finished my homework just in time for dinner, so I sat at the table to hear the insults, and hear how perfect Lisa is. While at dinner Lisa was observing her spoon, I wondered what was wrong with her, but then again, everything is. I didn’t want to say anything and I didn’t plan on saying anything until she asked one of the dumbest questions ever.
“How many sharp points does a spoon have?”
“Lisa how much dumber can you get? It’s a spoon! Its round! They don’t have edges that are straight, and they don’t have any sharp points! Only sporks do!” I yelled.
“Adalyn! Go to your room! You do not talk to your sister like that,” my dad yelled. He turned over to Lisa, “They don’t have any sweetie.”
“Ooohhhh, that makes sense why it doesn’t pick up food when you stab it!” Lisa said smiling, I smiled back at her because I got to take my food upstairs and eat which had just made my day. When I got to my room I turned on my mp3 player and just sat there eating my dinner, listing to music. After I finished my dinner I just sat on my bed wondering what to do next when Lisa walked in. Why? Just kill me now! Put me out of the misery of talking to her! I thought, knowing it wasn’t going to happen.
“Hey Adalyn,” Lisa said walking to sit next to me. “So you know that guy from this afternoon…”
“Zane?”
“Yeah, so umm… can you tell me about him?”
“Lisa…” I thought for a second, Lisa was going to go after him. She always does that, she sees a hot guy and then dates him then makes sure she breaks their heart, I’d know. They always come to me for comfort. “Well, he came to school today, but me and Tina, yeah… we are super close with him already!”
“Ooohhh, really so tell me about him.”
“Okay, well he has a GIRLFRIEND. He likes to stab things in his spare time, he is in love with video games. He said that’s all he does when he goes home!” I turned away and giggled silently, yeah, I know the type she hates. “Hmm… what else… oh yeah, he wants to be a future serial killer, and he said that when he finds the person he’s gonna kill him!”
“Umm… anything else?”
“Yeah, he said his perfect victim is a dumb blonde who doesn’t know what a spoon is used for.”
“Oh… I’m gonna go to bed now, thanks. Bye,” and she ran. I waited a minute to make sure that she was gone; I just described her as his perfect victim. When I knew she was gone I started laughing. I was rolling all over my bed, and even when I fell off I was still laughing! Ah, she’s so gullible. That was my last thought before I went to sleep.
