You're still out there

I can feel you

Across the distance

Disconnected from the world I find myself

Replaying your last words

Over and over in my head

Your resolve is strong

I admire you for that

Even as I loathe what it means

The day is fading

The sun of opportunity is setting

And the beautiful moment is lost forever

So I guess this is it

Static on every frequency

As you maintain radio silence
