SERINETY

I got high the first time

As a teen , at fifteen

Did not have to feel a thing

Numbing was everything

All my dreams went out the door

With each and every single score

Friends were killed , life was shattered

Quess thats why things did not matter

Now I'm clean and life is great

My heart now feels everything

Serine I am , never to perish

Life is now what I cherish

I know how you feel I've had my never ending nights and days just high with out a real face. I know where you are coming from I am sober now as well and I enjoy it. I personally found that the people I met in these years that I had considered friends were not really friends after all I don't know if your experience was the same. I am glad you are able to express this part of your life.

The friends we made during our using time even if they were true friends were friends with our high peronality and now that we are clean most of them don't have anything in commom with us anymore.I have friends now that were friends then but we had a few years where we didn't see each other and the're clean so we have one more thing in common and an understanding for each other that people who have never used would never understand.Most of them I haven't seen for years and they weren't really friends they were drug groupies that I just considered friends at the time.If you have a chance to read some of my other work,Two minutes is an article that will thoroughly leave you thinking and can apply to anything.
