A baby’s first breath

The first time you see it’s face

First word, filled with joy

A toddler’s old, favourite ragged toy

First day at nursery, first day at school

Climbing trees, grazed knees

Time passes fast

Last day of primary

Gets bigger, older, wiser

Last day of school

Time to fend for their self

First job, flying start

Meets soul mate, starts a life

Top of the world,

Time of her life

Lives life to the max

They get older, still in love

Content and happy until bad news ruined it all

Cancer, it said.

Her world comes crumbling down

She’s been through so much

Her time came to an end

She lays down, surrounded by loved ones

Peacefully closes her eyes

A slow, dark music

A lady crying into a handkerchief

A dark, wooden coffin being brought down

With a note of top of a reef saying

I Love You x
