Cutting Deep; Finding Pain

Poetry By: BounceAround
Other

Depression and suicide is as real as you and I, it just isn't seen in a day to day life as one may think.

No one strives to seek out pain
Not even for a lingering heart
Unless the numbing is so crucial
That a shock is needed

Depression calls out on sadness
Laughter is silenced by sorrows
Tears flood under bearings
When smiles dissolve into frowns

A cut so deep from a blade
May be the last point
To keep his sanity in check

Because no feeling can melt
The frozen barrier surrounding
The burden which lies within

If only love could have healed
Then the last resort could
Have been avoided

But that never lasts

Wailing turns to silence
Tears dry up to a physical drought
Sleep becomes deprived
As death overcomes life

Let him be, let him be
It is just a faze
He will get over it

And then the reaper comes knocking
Hot, crimson, metallic
Flooding over the scene
Suicide becomes real
