Silencing the Beat

Poetry By: BounceAround

Fear of death without having lived.

One heart
Multiple beats
Always a little leaking
One girl
Every breath coming
Creating more fears
Waiting six years
To have a change arise
Replace what has been broken
Giving more hope to live

But what if life is too short?
And love is not found?
Or she doesn't become a mother?
What then?

She fears she can never find love
That she can never create a difference
That the pain will last too long
That she will never make a happy flower
Her happy flower, her baby

A little girl dreams for the world
But what if the dream is too much?
Maybe the gurney is all she has left

Just a girl
And a heart, leaking with every beat
