it used to be so easy for me
to write my poems happily
but now they've come and they have gone
every line, both short and long
but now my hurt can't be expressed
and it kills to be so depressed
oh how much i want to stand and scream
and chase away my enemy
i want to see the world today
the way i could if you did stay
but colors are gone, my vision blurred
its much too late to find my cure
so i stay strong and act as if
their hate towards you is my own gift
but in every voice, i hear your own
i always thought that you'd come home
but every day, these hopes would crash
thrown among the shattered glass
but i have found my safest call
my angels who catch me when i fall
all through my troubles and my cries
they take good care and have never lied
i promise, i could write all day and night
about how much you've saved my life
