I wanted to leave this life behind

And then I stepped into the light

My angel has come and appeared before me

Telling me I need to fight

He came to me and said with care,

"You are to stay until the dawn

And later you may choose your fate

But I promise by then, you won't be gone"

I stayed and waited until the dusk

And saw my brother beyond the sky

Shining all his light for me

Begging me to stay alive

Now I know that angels come

Their lives are thrown beyond the stars

Holding out lives as long as they can be

Healing our broken, bruising hearts
