A heart that’s breaking

In the harsh sunlight.

I walk alone

On this dreary beach.

Listening to the waves

Crash upon the shore.

We are parted now.

But don’t forget me.

I won’t forget you.

You’ll find someone better.

A love that’ll last for eternity.

Never ending.

Please don’t forget me.

I won’t forget you.

A part of my heart

Will always belong to you.

Your memory will stay locked inside.

For all of time.

The pain will fade.

Depression will turn.

I’ll be fine again.

But please don’t forget me.

For I will never forget you.

The poem doesn't need accompaniment. It sings a sad, yet hopeful, song all its own.

Mandy I really like this one ALOT!
um is it just me or is your poetry getting better?
I always enjoyed reading yours but it seems as though it is really developing all of a sudden. you think maybe too?
