Her eyes are like fireflies,

blinking under the night sky.

Her smile outshines the moon itself.

She stands out from the darkness,

like a lamp hung from a red porch in front of a white house.

I run like a child in a game of tag

Her laughter

Her footsteps

They resonate behind me

a concert just out of sight.

She collides with me

like a long lost lover

I fall to the sand

It compresses under our weight

a pillow beneath us.

It consumes me, the perfect story

to dig into your mind.

It stifles me like a flavor too strong
