lightened by bright sun
but the sky looked awful
filled with dark clouds, preventing the passage of light.
I came to your door and knocked
but you never talked
or called a 'come in!'
mom called me and said you were sleeping.
She knew.
I thought it strange for you to sleep so long
but i believed she wasn't wrong
but my thoughts and questions grew
Until dad gave in and explained
that you left me alone,
that you left with last night's rain
and gone tn heaven was your soul.
tears filled my eyes
as i tried to convince myself that it was lies
Grandpa,
i never knew you
i cant remember your voice
resurrect and come
and i shall tell you how much i miss you
since you left with no words said or note written
when i was only ten.
