We released all of our excitements
Into the wind
We touched each other's faces
And were caught up again
Listened to your whispers
And you listened to mine
Rushed to the beginning
So that we could meet at the end,
In time for a nap, and a cigarette
Even though I don't smoke
And you could forget
The look I left you with
Feeling awkward
When I laughed at your joke
Maybe just as well
Because I would never tell the truth
Unless, it were a lie
And I was lying there with you
Alone again, last night
