Great sphinx upon the desert floor

what is it you are waiting for

for the sun to never rise

or darkest night to hide the sky

great sphinx upon the desert floor

who must keep watch forever more

may is sit with you awhile

and watch too by the loving nile?

Hi again. This poem I loved for its simplicity in describing something as enigmatic as the Sphix. You also asked for typos "may I sit with you awhile".

I loved how simple and sweet this poem was. And writing about a sphinx is ingenious! Well done. ~X
