Why couldn't I be there for her?

Why couldn't I be there

When she needed me the most?

Why couldn't I warn her

Or keep her close?

I should've answered the call

And ran through the halls

To get to her a little quicker

And to comfort her a little faster

He is a dead man to me and others

I'm not even sure about her brother

If I was there this never would've happend

If I was there she wouldn't have been hurt

My feelings on this should be clear

There is only hate and no fear

I will protect her from now on

And effentally take her to prom

She'll look so pretty in her dress

And won't worry about this mess

For he won't ever be around

Not even in the same town

You don't hit girls that's for sure

But if you hit mine

Your ass is out the door

He is a man and she is a lady

This should've never happened

If only I was there to save her

If I was there to be her saver

Why didn't I suspect something?

I knew I should've done everything

All the things I thought

Me and him would've of fought

Why couldn't I just be there for her

I should've knew this was going on
