A Love That Can Do No Wrong; Chocolate

I’m in love.
The others don’t understand,
How could they?
I ache for it,
Every second of my life.
I cannot deny it,
Cannot go without,
Though I will never try
Those cold winter days,
Wrapped in blankets.
Sitting around the open fire
Of my small cottage.
Hot drink in one hand,
Good book in the other.
My love sitting next to me;
Just waiting to be indulged.
Smooth and silky,
Rich and sweet.
It melts in my mouth.
The scent is overwhelming.
So desirable,
So unhealthy,
But yet so tempting.
I know in my heart
It will be there forever,
Never leaving my side.
I hear it every night,
Calling my name.
I reach out and touch it,
It taunts me even more,
I give in and indulge willingly
I will love it forever;
Till the very end,
Shall always be faithful.
Chocolate is my love,
Forever and ever
