Remember,
When we said that we would be friends forever?

When we planned our future,
We were sure to included each other.

When I envisioned my wedding, my child's birth, my funeral,
I always saw you there.

As friends we stood united, a bond unbreakable
We scratched our names in marble, where we prayed they'd stay

But our marbles turned to dust,
And our names will blow away, in the calmest of days.

Our conquests are but legends now,
Summer days spent laughing in parks are replaced with bitter "Good Mornings"
In frozen Art Classrooms.

Your ambitions were never clear,
But now when I look at you,
As though I never looked at you,
I pretend to see you for what I hate...

Poisoned, bitter, cheaters,
crying for attention
That I will not give.

I will cherish you forever,
For those sweeter days still make me smile.

Despite the cold winds that ravish,
the fruit filled orchards of our former selves.
