Back to Me.

Poetry By: EwanMac

Not too sure what to say about this one... I guess you could call it the third in the series of Romance poems I've done (Including "Can you See them" and "Over you") to pull all of them together they are just sort of mapping my mood toward a certain person... But you probably already guessed that :P Enjoy!

I smile,
broader now than ever.

At the smallest things
Like taking a walk at six in the morning.

I used to smile, cracked and broken.
At your boasts I could only agree to.

So they do all want you,
So they think you're cute

But they can't see,
Lies and guilt,
abandonment and isolation.

You tore my world down to your horrid depths,
Made me beg for mercy at your feet

Knowing I would without question.
Maybe I would still run to save you in your worst states.

I smile now, more than you could imagine,
I laugh without trying
I can look at our pictures now,

Long enough to tear them up.

Because at last, I'm back to me.

My loving, caring, honest, friendly, open minded, glorious self.
And I dare you to tear me down again.
