Remember Jack Layton
We must remember Jack Layton, one fine political man
Each Canadian felt touched, he gave new meaning to the word, Can
Oh, there's a huge sadness that leaves us all in a deep chill
Jack's N D P story, his tolerence and love for people lingers on still
Yes, we mourn an amazing leader, he truly shined his great light
The road to recovery wasn't there but he bravely put up a good fight
In the future, there should be a flag, his name, picture showing
With honour, pride in our hearts, to know his spirit is forever glowing
Canada will never forget his warm smile, unique pleasant ways
Time fulfilled and victory throughout his busy, memorable days
