How love confuses me so.
Some say it’s worth fighting for it,
but you eventually die from it.
It builds you up, then breaks you down.
That awfully glad happy frown.
A sickly sweet feeling, of spiteful bliss,
the devil’s cold, heartfelt kiss.
Raging fire on an ice cold day,
dark extinguished by hopeful a sun ray.
Bittersweet like apple pie.
Failing after every try.
The ugly face to beauty,
The honest mirror that lies.
The pries of star-strucked eyes.
Passion burning, igniting souls,
Cool relieve of hot coals.
Angel’s temptation. Sweet revelation.
That painful, tear inducing, lovely sensation.
Delight and happiness, wrapped in money.
Poison hidden in the honey.
Calamity and luck.
A gentle serpent’s hug.
And the funny thing,
it’s a smooth rough
Constant battle of never ending peace.
enigma that is love.
How love confuses me so!
