Genes are unforgiving thread
Familiar footsteps they now tread
Same shit in their tortured head
No chance achieving thoroughbred
Regardless if X or Y
DNA one can’t deny
There’s no right to a reply
Poor lost apple of thines eye
Chromosomes unappealing
Mimicking every feeling
With nucleus unhealing
Faulty proteins no concealing
Environment has a say
In how genetics will display
Matter black and white or grey
Independent of yesterday
So I must apologise
For my own loved ones demise
Promised them both better lives
Yet delivered booby prize
