I wrote this last year under the mysterious pen name of Itania (Oh how Ironic it was the same pen name i use now.) and was handing a bunch of poems into my teacher anonymusly. I still think he doesn't know who submitted them.

ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS:
a poem by Itania
Enjoy it while it lasts,
'cause it my not last much longer.
Whatever you cherish,
may be gone in a flash.
Whatever's important,
can rot in your hands,
and nothing was like it,
even in far away lands.
~
Whatever you handle,
whatever you prize.
Is certain to meet,
an uncertain demise.
~
So, remember to
enjoy it while it lasts.
Just be careful,
it's going fast.
