A Hidden World (Wyz)

Poetry By: Jayson Wyz

Wrote this in High-school. Literature teacher took the class outside, had us sit and look at everything around us, then told us we had __ amount of minutes to come up with a poem using the first thing that came to mind.

The poem has multiple meaning, comparing humans to human biology, but it could also, possibly, have other comparisons.

What do you get from the poem?

A city,
A country,
A world.

Populations grow and shrink:
New births,
New deaths.

Some form a bond,
Others split.

New jobs,
New tasks
New methods.

Buildings collapse,
The world weakens,
Many die.

The planet is gone,
But others are left.

A city,
A country,
A planet.

All inside a living being,
All inside me,
All inside you,
All inside us!
