Remember everyone, judge me not, 'lest ye be judged by the same measure.

I see an old man down on the corner,
He's preaching about the promised land.
Tells me how I am a lonely sinner,
And that he is the righteous man.
I know not of him, nor him of me,
Yet the world sees his verse as true.
He curses my name and puts me down,
But I wouldn't do the same to you.
You may see him as the good man,
But I see him and his sin.
He denies his faults and exposes mine,
So he can give you something to believe in.
He attacks me without mercy,
He never tries to find anything good.
Were it not for him you wouldn't know my sin,
There is just no way that you could.
Right or wrong, he doesn't know of me,
Well, he's never even tried.
He doesn't know of all I've been through.
He doesn't know that my best friend died.
If you want to believe all the lies he tells,
I will leave you with his point of view.
Or you could take the time to see the real me,
And I will do the same for you.
