I took a good long look
At that boy in the mirror
And I tried to make him be
Something of a superhero
I fought all sorts of villians
To find a kryptonite
But when I started downhill
She said Take me with you
Before I knew it I was weaker
And that damsel wasn't safe
I fed her lines
And told her lies
While making promises I couldn't keep
I tried to reassure myself
With a few more drinks
But I ended up falling deeper
She said she understood
Why I was trying to be something
I wasn't
But when she said Take me with you
She didn't realize what that meant
So I finally did something
It was stupid I admit
But I couldn't Take her with me
