This poem is kind of about both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth and what they felt during different parts of the play. I tried to make it pretty negative so it could be related to when they had both reached the end of they’re sanity. I wrote it for an english project.

Broken is my dream,
Broken is my heart,
The pain is drowning out my mind and I can't set things apart,
Tainted is my power,
Tainted is my mind,
The peace inside my thoughts is gone and I now know nothing of their kind,
Disturbed is my sleep,
Disturbed is my wake,
The happiness I used to feel I can no longer make,
Light is polluted,
Light is dark,
The brightness is all gone and I can't even see my mark,
Blood is dirty,
Blood is rushing,
The stains on my hands are far from washing,
Everything is clouded and I can no longer see,
Everything is gone and I can no longer be.
