I tear your heart open
And I sit inside alone,
The walls are wet and red,
The floor is with a beat,
And I wish I could be closer to you.
If you would let me sit here
Forever in you,

The seconds pass,
The minutes build,
The blood has stained me
And I’m not with you.
You’ve got someone else to welcome,
Forget me for awhile,
Go about your day,
Go about the night,
Beat,
Beat,
Beating.
And you come back to me,
Come back to the familiar,
Because this is where I stay with hope.
