When you shut your eyes you can imagine what isn't really there. Sometimes all you want to see is something simple, but sometimes it's anything but simple.

When I look at you I can see the pain,

When I look at you I can see the hurt,

When I look at you I can see the torment,

So I shut my eyes,

Close them tight,

Forget the lies,

And see another sight,

Then I look at you and I see the love,

Then I look at you and I see the embrace,

Then I look at you and I see the smile,

But I open my eyes,

Open them bright,

Forget the lies,

And see the real sight,

When I look at you I can see the pain,

When I look at you I can see the hurt,

When I look at you I can see the torment,

When I look at you I can see the truth,

So I shut my eyes,

Close them tight,

Forget the lies,

And see another sight,
