Just another moment,
One more aching second,
A last kiss goodbye,
Final touch of shaking hands,
If I had said goodbye to you,
The way I wanted to,
Maybe now I wouldn’t miss you so,
I would have held you close,
Never let you go,
Felt your heart beat close to me,
Closer, closer, closer,
And our teary eyes would lock,
Forever joined,
Lost in a moment,
I cannot recreate,
Breathing fast,
Breathing slow,
Where are you now?
Why did you have to go?
Gone in body,
Gone in mind,
I would give anything,
To have you with me now,
I lost my place within you,
You lost yourself,
Drifting in oblivion,
Wishing for that moment,
The moment lost in time.
