The Day I Die

Poetry By: katrina soroya

The day I die, I like to think will be one of freedom. In the words of fight club: losing all hope is freedom. Denial is hope, freedom from hope is death. Beauty is acceptance.

The day I died,
Was clear in the sky,
The day I died,
Was beautiful,
Are you okay?
Yes I'm fine,
Good as can be,
Free, free, free,
Washed away in a waterfall,
Ran away in the highway lights,
Wished away in your dreams,
And the night I was dead,
Was still in the sky,
The night I was dead,
Was amazing,
Was she okay?
Yes she was fine,
Good as can be,
Free, free, free,
Fell away in the river of blood,
Broke away in the cloud of smoke,
Forgot in your reality,
And the day I was dead, dead in the dirt,
Was a peaceful one,
And the day I was dead,
Was wonderful,
Will she be okay?
Yes she's fine,
Good as can be,
Free, free, free,
The day I die,
It will be clear in the sky,
The day I die,
Will be beautiful,
Beautiful to you.
