Lying in the grass,
Waiting for the bell,

Then run to the shops,
Tread along the sandy shores,
Smiles, smile,

But you’re hair is changing colour,
And the dappled light that breaks and falls
Follows as I wait,

And we could sit in many chairs,
Then stand in many places different,
And we could eat,
And we could sleep our mornings short
Or long,
But do I ask?

But my eyes are growing tired,
And the weak rays of moonlight break and fall
Following as I wait,

So we travel, and we journey,
Falling in the waters,
So we could swim, and float,
Falling in the indecision,
And lying in the grass,
Waiting for the bell,
There’s a silence,
But do I ask?

Time for more loneliness to come.
