See this?
This is my heart
My fragile heart
It looks just like yours
There is only one difference
Yours is not in pain
With every pump of my heart it screams
It yells in agony
It yells for the person that can fill the hole
I know the person it yearns for
But the person does not know my heart longs for them
I put on a plastic smile when I see them
They smile back as if they cannot see through my discomfort
I want to holler to the desired one
Just so I can see if they will feel the same
I want my heart to conjoin with theirs and become one
As if we are Siamese twins conjoined at the seams of our hearts
That would be perfect
But perfect doesn’t exist in this life
Never has
Never will
My heart likes to think this other person is the Heaven on Earth
My heart calls them Perfection
My brain tells them no
My heart won’t listen
Heart is love sick
Heart wants love
But Heart doesn’t realize
What Heart wants
Heart doesn’t get
