It's cold out as I watch your breath turn into ice
Your words trembling so softly
Into the dawn I lie awake staring through my window half empty
Framed so perfectly through dark curtains
Flat against this wall
Your eyes are searching for someone, so I touch the glass screaming
You can't hear me
Think a little harder and you'll remember where you left me.
To be wrong again, I feel like crying on a cold winter's day.
Cast your shadow on a reflection of this presence,
Holding back nothing
Bound in chains that cannot break
Troubled, my soul is fleeing
A humble heart too afraid to shine, waiting silently
Heaving the loss of this strength
Instantly falling back again
Think a little harder and you'll remember where you left me.
To be wrong again, I feel like dying on a cold winter's day.
