To Be the Fool

Poetry By: Kynase

Sometimes reflection on our past and contemplation of our future is bitter sweet. This is one of many my odd poems that I turned into a song.

Too late to say I'm sorry for the things that I have done and where I have been.

Too late to play another round and drink a toast of beer with all of my friends.

And I have tried so hard, to fool the king of fools into believing me. Then I let down my guard and now it's over drawing to an end.

What a perfect picture painted in shades of grey, nonchalant and never understood.

Possible to read between the lines of melancholy but no one ever would.

And I have tried so hard, to fool the king of fools into believing me. Then I let down my guard and now it's over drawing to an end.

Though it's been measured before my life is there, strung out lying on the floor. They won't say it face to face, but my God, it's a different world a whole new faith.

Could I be mistaken, could I be alone in a populated world?

What if my addictions plague the child within my heart, would I still be a little girl?

And I have tried so hard, to fool the king of fools into believing me. Then I let down my guard and now it's over drawing to an end.
