i am not who you thought me to be
although i have admirable traits
ill still end up being our best mistake
i will do all i can for you
but that doesn't mean i wont leave you blue
you learned a lesson through loving me

for little flings i can be quite nice

i don't want to be this way
but i tried to tell you, you've heard me say
do not invest your heart in me
or the ugly side of love is all you see
the side thats torture, heartache, and pain
but still ill be the one to take the blame

try not to be so hard on yourself
knowledge is power, power brings you wealth
and you'll be rich with the lessons of life
