She holds a piece of the sky
In her palm.
The one thing in her life
Pushing her to keep hoping, hoping
That she doesn't squeeze
Too tight
And shatter it.
But a black wind
Blew it away
The night of her dream's funeral.
Now she is trapped --
A prisoner in the grave
Of her life.
That luminous shred of blue
Moving on to another
Dreaming hand.
