Your Fault, you say

Poetry By: Lesley Annette 253

when my dad an i were having an arguement, he said some pretty mean things. i hated how he wouldnt let me talk or explain no matter how hard i tried. eventually i got tired and went a bit sassy and sarcastic. he yelled and punched door when he thought i wasnt listening.this poem kind of just slipped out.

Your Fault, you say

punch the door, you do

Blame me? Yes.

i'm the cause you see?

sorry doesn't count,

liveliness couldn't spout,

your anger is contagious,

it's all propostrous!

Glare at me with eyes full of disdain,

a reason you don't acknowledge,

it's all your do and say, it's all your

it's none of mine, you understand?

maybe someday, you wont blame me;

i'm not to blame, Dad.

say you can't trust,

say you're going to combust,

what a load of bull.

thank God your smart, oh wait your not...

maybe someday,

you wont blame me,

it's not my fault, i want to say,

yet it's all the same, and you still turn away.
