"A shattered window, A broken heart"

A shattered window, in the middle of the night, at 3am, it's a crazy sight. A big red brick on the living room floor, a loss of control, a loud child screams, the mother can't take it no more.

He's mad, he's violent, he's full of hatred & rage, he isn't thinking clearly, he must be insane.

Broken pieces of glass scattered here & there, yet her ex is out of control, he doesn't even care. Huge pieces of broken glass, in the baby's playpen,... everywhere, thank God the baby wasn't sleeping in there.

The mother, trying to gather her thoughts on what should she do? Should she call the cops, or leave that place soon? She calls the cops & tells them what happened in full details & all, they do nothing for her, absolutely nothing at all,..she thinks to herself, what a waste of a call!

The window was fixed that very same day and she knew that would upset him, more problems heading her way. She knew deep down inside, who did it and he will be back, she felt it inside her heart & that was the fact.

She was right, he came back again, more shattered pieces of glass, cleaning up at quarter pass ten.

She thought to herself, "What happened to him?" The laughter, the sweet memories, the closeness they once had, in a blink of an eye, it all ended so bad!

She made up her mind, packed up her things & cried, told all her loved ones 'Good bye", with tears still in her eyes. Grabbed her kids & left out of sight, to start a new beginning, a way better life.

Years have passed & she's much happier & free, away from the drama & stress, that was given to thee.

She thanks God, for helping her throughout that mess & feel so happy & even more blessed. She reminds herself she's strong & deserves only the best.

As for her ex, her message is this: Yes u won that fight, when shattered windows crashed down during that night, but windows were replaced & fixed, but at the end of all of this, she came out winning & so did her kids! Now you can go through life without me, by your side, pick up the broken pieces of your own heart & ask God for forgiveness, because, I was good to you & God is my witness!
