I lay limp on the floor

my body frail

my hope crushed

The room pitch black

the ground cold

the walls howeling in rage

footsteps I hear

it must be time

the door slams open

footsteps heading toward me

I brace myself

"no daddy"

I see her body

lying limp on the floor

there's nothing i can do

except gaze upon my black and blue body

I'm in a safe place now

no more daddy

and besides mommy's here
